Family Halloween Costume Ideas – Here they are, our 2021 Family Halloween Costumes – Peter Pan Family Halloween Costumes, and as usual we’ve got to bring the dogs in there too! As I mentioned in Part 1, I found most of the materials for these dresses in my own home. Most of what I buy comes from thrift stores, craft stores, or Amazon. I also used some basic sewing on some of these dresses. I mean basic!

Now that you’ve seen my first four family costume creations, I’d like to share the last three I’ve made over the years. I’ve included basic instructions on how I built each one.
After a year of doing the Hunger Games theme, I’m back at good old Disney. The kids loved it, and my two-year-old son’s daily tantrums were a perfect representation of Ilska’s wounds throughout the movie. My creativity strikes!
As usual, I found all the clothes I needed either in our closets or at thrift stores. The scarf, purple scarf, fake green eyelashes and pink bow are from Amazon.

All I did to create each of our “memories” was purchase large clear plastic Christmas ornaments like this one. Then I painted the inside of each one with acrylic paint. These clothes were super cute and comfortable for the kids to wear all day!
We became a family of five that year, which made the idea a little harder to come up with. I remembered that he had a bomber jacket that I bought him years ago, considering my husband’s reluctance to dress me up. Up! The idea was born.
Since I already felt like home at the time, three months postpartum, I thought it would be appropriate to have a flying home. Yes, this house was a lot of work for me and my husband, but we had fun doing it!
We’ve seen lots of pictures of the Up House online. Then we used a large box to match our surroundings and shaped the rest of the room with lots of cardboard! We added thick tape to make the straps.

Once the house was ready, we just ordered the balloons and took the day of the party. Then we tied them up when we got there.
I was definitely adventurous in making this dress, but it was totally worth it in the end! – Adventure is here!
As you can see, our adult movie themes are unfortunately out of stock! When kids are too young to care or protest, I recommend doing fun or interesting topics.
Anyway… Toy Story 4 came out the year I made it. It was like 2014, but instead of Anna and Elsa, it was Buzz and Woody. I feel like these just have to be our costumes this year!
