My parents Randy and Kay had been married for almost 45 years when they lost their lives in a house fire in 2015. My brother and I now have the house as a fond memory of our parents and our children enjoy their memories of Mimi and grandpa them. My brother and I have continued their tradition of owning the house and we are very happy to own this part and to be able to share it with so many people. Plus, we can now bring our whole family and use both sides to spread out! My parents are blessed with three grandchildren, now aged 8, 13 and 16; and a grandson, now 12. My father, Randy, is an Electrical Engineer and retired from Southwestern Bell, and my mother, Kay, is a former legal secretary. I am a CPA and my brother Russell is a real estate entrepreneur. After the death of our parents, we now work together in several family businesses.
Branson has been our family’s FAVORITE vacation spot for years, starting with my parents. It’s an easy 3½ hours from our home in Little Rock, AR. We’ve been vacationing in Branson for over 30 years, so buying our original cabin in 2006 made sense considering all the hotel bills we’ve paid over the years. Now that my brother and I are raising our own children, we also enjoy the cabinets and are happy that we bought this cabinet piece that our children will know for the rest of their lives. Mom loves Christmas and decorating! My parents enjoyed a weekend trip to Branson to decorate the cabin for the holidays and I have continued this tradition and look forward to decorating the house for Christmas. We have a ritual to start the New Year in our room. We usually arrive the day before New Year’s to pick up Christmas decorations, and stay to celebrate New Year’s. My scrapbooking girlfriend enjoys the cabinet every February for “Mom’s Weekend Out.” Sometimes we decide to take a trip to “hang out”—and, yes, do a little shopping, but spend most of their time in the cabin watching movies and visiting. Now that my family has two sides, I can have about 12 people come every year!
Our cabin is located in a quiet wooded area in the heart of town, and just minutes from almost any Branson show, attraction or restaurant. This is a 2 unit home and our family is the original owner of the left side, it was purchased in 2006 and we are happy to now own this side and share it with you. If this house is not available for your dates, please send me a message as others may be. Rent the entire place to sleep up to 12 people! Our entire family gathers at the cabin in June to celebrate June and July family birthdays. At that time our son brought his Moomba ride boat for the whole family to enjoy. We would like to introduce (FREE) Lake Taneycomo near Lilley’s Landing, just 10 minutes (or less) from the cabin, and avoid the road traffic to Branson Landing. Boat slips are FREE there, and we are fishing for dinner at the White River Fish House NOT to be missed! The decor is amazing, and the food is even better… if fish isn’t one of your favorites, don’t worry – they have salads, chicken, sandwiches, burgers and whatever else you fancy. You have the option of dining in their dining room, or outside on the Lake Taneycomo deck Our whole family loves the water, and skiing is a favorite! Lake Taneycomo is too cold for skiing, but great for a night hike. Moonshine Beach has an excellent swimming pool and boat launch on Table Rock Lake. There is a standard day launch fee…and the skiing is great at Table Rock. You can launch for FREE at Table Rock State Park which is only 10 minutes from our cabin. Bull Shoals is another beautiful lake in the Branson area with a FREE boat ride just 20 minutes from our cabin. In the winter months, we enjoy being in our cabin near the fireplace with a good book to read, or enjoying the many movies we always have on. Brenda and I live in Enid, Ok. She is a retired Registered Nurse and I am a retired Police Officer, and a retired DL Examiner for the State of Ok. We have 7 children and 15 beautiful grandchildren. We love our home in Oklahoma, but Missouri is our second home and we really enjoy it. We come as much as we can and we will come more if we can. Like many who visit the Branson area, we love our God, our Country, and our Family.
We have loved the Branson area for years and Brenda grew up about 2 hours away. from Branson. Branson is a growing area with many opportunities and even in a weak economy people still come to Branson. It seems to be one of the most beautiful and patriotic places.
This place is very peaceful and refreshing. We really didn’t have to do anything or go anywhere to enjoy our stay here. If you’re into exercise, it’s good to get out and walk around some of the trails around the golf course, or up and down the hills and holler. We are the owners. We are currently cleaning 2 of our Cabins to a 5 star rating! We are across 20 acres if you need anything. I offer a fun 2-3 hour Pontoon ride on Table Rock Lake with gifts from our Guests. We are a Christian family that cares about giving you a good stay. We maintain your cabinets with our homemade soap. We sell a lot of soap in our Soap Office store. I feed the birds ALL YEAR ROUND — Our Bird House is a secluded area full of birds, squirrels, morning doves – even a deer occasionally drinks from the fountain.
