These healthy, homemade chicken recipes are gluten-free, delicious, and easy to make. The fried panko breadcrumbs give them a nice crunch and they’re not fried to make them healthier than regular chicken strips.
All you need to make these are a few simple, real food ingredients you can find at your local grocery store. A super fun and delicious meal that the whole family will love!
Chicken Tenderloin: Clean, quick to make and easy to find at your local grocery store. You can cut the chicken breast into slices, but this is an easier method.
Easy Gluten Free Fried Chicken
Gluten-Free Panko Breadcrumbs: Panko breadcrumbs are light and Japanese-style breadcrumbs. I like to use it in this recipe because it provides the perfect crunch and texture to coat the chicken. I’ve tried other breadcrumbs for these applications and always come back to Panko breadcrumbs because they give the best results. You can find these bread crumbs at your local grocery store or bakery. You can also find them in the international corridor.
Apple Cider Vinegar: I like to use a little acid in my chicken marinade to add a little flavor. If you don’t have apple cider vinegar, you can also use salt water.
Delicious Condiments and Flavors: Of course, breadcrumbs alone are not enough. A variety of spices, herbs and spices are added to the bread mixture to give these tenders a wonderful taste.
Step One: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Add the beaten egg, almond milk and apple cider vinegar to the bowl and mix well. Place the chicken breasts in a mixing bowl and dip in the wet mixture.

Step Six: Grease a wire rack and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step Seven: Remove the chicken pieces, two to four at a time, from the egg mixture and transfer them to the breadcrumb mixture. Toss the chicken in the breadcrumbs with your fingers until well coated, then press the breadcrumbs into the chicken to help coat the chicken.
Step Eight: Transfer the coated chicken to a greased wire rack. Bake the chicken breasts at 400 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown and a meat thermometer reads 165 degrees. Serve the pasta with your favorite sauce!
