If you know me at all, you know I love Halloween decorations. Every year I give it my all!
I saw these cute pumpkins using orange pumpkins and white ghosts and thought I’d add a new twist and paint my pumpkins gray. This Halloween project is easy, cute and perfect for the spooky season!

Best Pumpkin Painting Ideas
Before you start, you should know that you can draw different colors on pumpkins, but we’re drawing ghosts today!

I recommend buying small white pumpkins for this DIY. For me, I bought about 2-3 mini white pumpkins.
Whether you decide to buy large or small pumpkins, make sure there are few lumps, bends, damage, etc. I say this because you want your pumpkin to look good on a pumpkin.
Modern No Carve Pumpkin Decorating Ideas For Halloween
Annie Sloan graphite chalk paint or any acrylic paint will work. Also, you need white paint to make ghosts.
I recommend using a medium brush for pumpkins and a medium brush for finger watercolors.
I used a fine Sharpie marker, but you can use a fine brush with acrylic paint. I think it’s easier to use my lashes on my face.
I’ve found that Annie Sloan Chalk Paint seems to work best when you want a smooth, well-painted finish on any object or surface. I chose dark gray for the pumpkin because I wanted a nice contrast between the white spirit and the gray pumpkin.

Also, you need to draw two layers. Make sure the first coat is completely dry before applying the second coat. Also, if you are doing this activity with young children, you may want to do this for them.
After your pumpkin is painted (twice) and dried, you can paint the ghost. Squeeze white paint onto a plate and dip your finger into the paint. Next, press the drawn thumb against the pumpkin like a finger.
