What To Do In Branson Mo
A few weeks ago we spent a week at our cabin near Branson, Missouri. This modern lake house is the perfect home for us, with fantastic views, an idyllic location and just the right floor plan for our small family.
Fun Things To Do In Branson Mo With Kids
It occurred to me that even though we frequent the area all year round, we have never shared anything!
Branson is a family destination full of fun things to do! In fact, there are so many Branson attractions that you will never get bored here, whether you spend a day or a week!
We have been so lucky to enjoy our little home away from home in Table Rock Lake, Missouri. In fact, I wrote about all the things to do in Table Rock Lake, as well as the 6.5 million Christmas lights in Silver Dollar City.

The Track Family Fun Parks (branson)
Where is Branson Missouri? Branson is located in southwest Missouri in the Ozark Mountains region. It is located near the border with Arkansas and not far from Oklahoma. Branson attracts visitors from all over the United States, with most visiting in the spring through the New Year.
I grew up visiting Branson, a kitschy getaway located just 4 hours from Kansas City, St. Louis and Tulsa. It is full of live entertainment, top attractions, exciting rides and restaurants.
There are so many things to do in Branson Missouri that I have not seen and done all of them, even though I grew up frequenting the area.
These are our favorite things to do in Branson with kids on a hot summer day, a cold winter day, or a rainy day. Most of all, I hope you enjoy every chance you get as much as we do!
Top 10 Things For Families To Do In Branson, Missouri
Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery (free) – see the fish hatchery and trout pens that raise 400,000 pounds of rainbow and brown trout each year! Bring quarters to feed the fish.
Tiger Sanctuary – visit and feed the big cats or go behind the scenes to learn about their care. They also rescue and release animals into the wild.
Bigfoot Fun Park – this is a new attraction in Branson, full of things to do! You will find an arcade, miniature golf, rides and of course the main attraction which is a Bigfoot Discovery expedition! It’s a fantastic immersive safari-style adventure through the Ozark Hills for the whole family.
Aquarium at the Boardwalk – See sea rays, walk through the water tunnel, enjoy the touch tanks and more! This new Branson attraction cost $55 million!
Fun Things To Do In Indian Point October 2022
Mountain Coaster – If you’re here for the rides, you won’t be disappointed with this popular roller coaster experience! This is a forest hill where YOU control the speed!
Ferris Wheel – Among the many must-see attractions on Highway 76 is the Ferris Wheel, relocated from Chicago’s Navy Pier. I told you it was kitsch.
The Branson Scenic Railway departs from the historic depot located in downtown Branson. Ride a classic train through the Ozark Mountains. This is especially fun during the holidays as you travel through the parks with Christmas lights aboard the Polar Express, complete with a visit from Santa.
Go horseback riding on Bear Creek Trails for a one-hour guided tour near a waterfall. You can also go on Ozark Mountain Trail Rides.

Hollywood Wax Museum – even if you don’t go to the museum, stop for a photo. There are more out there.
Speaking of photo ops, if you’ve ever wanted to get your photo taken with a giant meatball, go to Pasghetti. To be honest, I don’t care about food, but who can resist sitting next to a giant fork?
Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors is an interactive fairy tale experience with rooms full of mirrors and a chance to see who the hero could be!
Visit the fountains at Branson Landing (free). An hourly show of water, fire, light and music begins daily at noon at 10:00 p.m. Take a seat in the square or grab a drink on the patio of the Laredo Winery to enjoy.

While at Branson Landing, walk to the lakeside of Lake Taneycomo to feed the fish or read the Bass Pro.
Promised Land Zoo – walk through a zoo and feed parakeets, donkeys and goats. The zoo boasts more than 60 hectares of animals, including a tiger and lion rescue.
Hike to see sloths, giraffes, a capybara and more, then take a tram or drive through the 60+ acre park to see bison, elk and zebra. Don’t miss the ostrich and emu eggs in the hatchery in the gift shop on your way.
Grape Juice Tasting (free) – okay, okay, this is just a wine tasting disguise for mom and dad. But after the Dixie Stampede, you earned it. Children will love to participate in tasting the grape juice while you enjoy some wine. Stop by the Curling Vine and take a little tour.

Ripley’s Believe it or Not – kids love visiting Ripley’s for the oddities and exciting activities. Perfect for a cold or rainy day.
Talking Rocks is a beautiful cave tour that uses light and sound to highlight the curtain formations. Once outside the cave, children can enjoy a fun play area with a playground, observation tower, maze, gem panels and more.

Marvel Cave – this national landmark is really fascinating to see, however, it requires admission to Silver Dollar City. It was Branson’s first attraction that brought tourists from all over. Take a stroll and return on the tram for a unique experience.
Butterfly Palace and Rainforest – we have a butterfly house in St. Louis, but the offerings of nectar to attract butterflies, magnifying glasses and binoculars make this place unique. Children like to visit. Bonus points for a mirror maze and simulated rainforest for kids to climb through.
Dicks 5 & 10 – how do I list a store? Well, it’s a favorite of kids and adults alike, and it fits right in with Branson’s kitsch. Where else can you buy a unicorn head, antique candy, cast iron, jokes and granny panties all under one roof? It has almost everything you could ever want – and everything you never thought you’d see.
You thought that the Titanic was 12,600 below sea level. It is actually located in Branson, Missouri. At the Titanic Museum, you can see artifacts, take pictures on the replica ladder, touch an iceberg, drop coal and more.

Visit Fun Mountain (at Big Cedar) for a unique bowling experience, arcades, indoor playground (free), bumper cars and if you’re feeling really adventurous, the Flip Zone.

Fritz’s Adventure is an indoor adventure park. Climb through tunnels, a plane, high-flying slides and up a brick wall! It offers two indoor ropes courses – one for children and one for adults. In addition, they have aerodium flight experience.
Amazing Things To Do In Branson Missouri
No visit to Branson is complete without spending time in Silver Dollar City. The clean and family-friendly theme park was built to provide activities while guests waited to enter Marvel Cave. Silver Dollar City is also beautiful during Christmas, see my post on visiting during Christmas here.
Today it’s full of rides that the whole family can enjoy, along with demonstrations of glass blowing, blacksmithing and wood carving to name a few. Don’t miss Grandpa’s Manor. It’s always a favorite.
Silver Dollar City is truly one of our favorite theme parks for family fun! Avoid the traffic on your way and stop at the Old Pasta Company. You’ll find the most amazing cinnamon rolls in the Midwest and two friendly smiles – every time!
Stop by Mickey’s for hot dogs, hamburgers and a peanut butter shake. Another great stop is Danna’s for BBQ. These local businesses are so good, so friendly and appreciative of your business.
