The moment an American father experiences an emotional “meltdown” over an alpaca he meets on holiday has gone viral.

Alexandria Neonakis from Santa Monica, California shared funny screenshots of her father Dimitris’ messages while visiting South America.

Dimitris texted his daughter from Peru to tell her that it was “the most cuddly animal ever” and that he couldn’t stop kissing it and putting his face in its “thick soft wool”.
He even sent her a selfie of himself with his face pressed into a chew animal with an ear-to-ear grin.
Alexandria posted screenshots of her happy dad on Twitter last night with the caption: “My dad is in Peru melting in alpacas.”
His tweet went viral and garnered over 23,000 likes and retweets and hundreds of comments.
This Dad Had The Most Adorable Meltdown When He Met An Alpaca
Her first photo features a picture of the alpaca that stole her dad’s heart, along with a message from him that read: “This was the softest and cuddliest animal ever.
“It’s an alpaca. I just couldn’t stop hugging it and kissing it and putting my face in its thick, soft wool.
In the final photo, Alexandria’s dad is all smiles as he stands next to the alpaca cuddling it.
In subsequent tweets, Alexandria revealed her father’s love for the animal, as she wrote, “He’s now ‘Bringing it home.'” My Facebook post is 100% dad losing it over alpacas.
