Fun Places In Branson Missouri – Our Midwest Road trip ended with a five night stay in Branson, MO. As soon as we got into town, we knew it wasn’t going to be a week of rest around the camp. For example, we are greeted by strange and colorful buildings, including an upside-down house, a giant King Kong building hanging above it, and a Titanic-shaped building with splashing water in front of it. I call it Branson, the family-friendly version of Vegas minus the games, because billboards for concerts, theme park rides, and cartoon-like buildings welcome visitors with an atmosphere of limitless entertainment. In this post, I describe the attractions we visited during our trip and list the many other things to do in Branson Mo with the kids.

The Family Fun Parks track in Branson is spread over three locations. We received bracelets for two hours of unlimited kart tracks, a Branson Ferris Wheel and some arcade credits.
This ever-revolving Ferris wheel offers beautiful views of the city and also has an interesting history. Read about your move from Chicago as you wait to join the tour.
Fun Things To Do In Branson With Kids (for 2022)
We had an absolute blast on the track and got to two locations within two hours of our karting time. There are slopes for all levels and ages making it suitable for the whole family. Our favorite is Heavy Metal High Rise! Tip: Go early. We started our two hours around 6pm on a Thursday night. In the first hour we had very little waiting time. As it turned out later, our wait became longer. Get your discounted tickets here.
We had so much fun at the arcade that we came back the next day! My favorite game is the big Connect Four basketball game. It was the perfect competition for the family.
I am very happy, but I am afraid that my children will be bored. However, they liked it as much as I did. My six year old rates this as one of the best things we did that week!
When you queue, you will be given a “boarding pass”. In the gap there is the story of a real passenger who was aboard the Titanic. As you pass through the museum, you can “put on their shoes” and imagine what it would be like to be on a ship. You also get an audio player. An audio tour comes with your ticket at no extra cost. The museum provides recordings for adults and recordings for children. My six year old son had a great time looking for the number on the wall that showed the next recording. The interactive pieces in the museum are the most fun for the kids.
Experience Branson, Mo
Stand on some of the decks of the inclined ship to experience the feeling of being on a ship that sank at a different time than the sinking process
Simulate coal mining in a furnace to get a feel for how tough and difficult the job is
At the end of the museum, you’ll find out if the person on your boarding pass survived the shipwreck. If so, you’ll learn about what he did with the rest of his life. What a great history lesson for my kids!
I was very surprised at how much my family enjoyed this show. My kids danced in their chairs and squealed with joy as they clapped for our “team” and all the players. I was even more surprised at how delicious the food was. How they feed so many people so quickly and the food is still amazing is beyond me. I want to see how this kitchen works. Also, that’s a ton of food per person. We had plenty of leftovers for our lunch the next day.
Fun Attractions & Things To Do At Branson Landing
The show was so much fun to watch and kept my kids entertained every minute. In addition to Hamner’s magic, the show has many other variations of action. For example, the award-winning vocalist, snare champion, acrobat and my favorite, Elvis impersonator, Sammy Davis Jr. and several others in the same song.
There are only three things I remember from my previous visits to the city as a child and one of them is Mel’s Hard Luck Diner. I mean, who could forget to be entertained by a maid? Yes that’s correct. The waiters and waitresses sing and are very talented. While serving our oversized portion of dessert our waiter took the microphone and “karaok” “Sugar, Sugar”. To be honest, I wasn’t too impressed with our dinner and they ran out of some side items. We are getting closer to closing time. Maybe the food is better in the morning. However, the desserts were amazing. Expect a long wait for a table.
Due to long waiting times, I barely added this one to my list of things to do with kids in Branson, MO. Since everything is made from scratch, it took a while for our food to arrive and my kids were quite restless. However, the food was a hit and it turned out to be worth the wait. Consider bringing something to entertain the kids.
Sometimes it’s the little things. We have a saying in our house that it is impossible to be sad to eat ice cream. I took the kids to Branson Landing in historic downtown Branson to enjoy at Kilwins. My daughter got a cone and I tasted their fudge which was amazing.

Ice cream is my family’s favorite, but snow cones are a rare treat. My youngest son picked a snow cone from Snowie’s booth at Branson Landing with ice cream this time and only managed to drop a small portion on the floor.
We decided to end our last night on the town with another sweet treat. This time we went to Sweet Susie’s. Good frozen yogurt but expensive. Customers fill their own cups and toppings. With so many options, it’s easy to stack them. Upon arrival at the cashier, you will be charged for the weight of your cup.
