The comments on Parton’s Instagram post show how excited her fans are to see her post about her husband. “Carl’s Message ???????” read one comment that had almost 700 likes. Another fan wrote: “Carl Dean is so handsome!” Another wrote: “Yes!!!!!! sweet relationship.”
Dean and Parton married in 1966, two years after meeting in a laundromat. Since then, Parton has become a huge star, but Dean has stayed out of the spotlight and doesn’t attend any events with his wife. In October 2020, an interview with

Dolly Parton has said she is considering reselling her catalog of thousands of songs as big-name artists command sky-high ratings for their song rights.
The “Queen of Country,” who has 3,000 songs to her credit, including I Will Always Love You and 9 to 5, said she didn’t want to be caught out like some stars who haven’t sorted their treasures in later years.
“I’ve owned my own publishing company for years,” Parton told Music Week. “It’s possible, for business reasons, estate planning and family matters, that I could sell the catalog that I have. I’ve thought about it a lot and I’m sure I can make a lot of money out of it.”
Given the continued popularity of the 74-year-old songs – Whitney Houston’s 1992 cover of I Will Always Love You is a global phenomenon – the sale of the publishing rights is likely to spark a bidding war.
